- I received Early Career Award from Japanese Society for Mathematical Biology.
- We submitted a new manuscript. We combined experimental evolution with a mathematical model to investigate how the amplitude of short-term environmental fluctuations affects evolutionary rescue.
- I presented the above result at the Annual Meeting of Society for Evolutionary Studies, Japan.

ESJ71
At ESJ71 Yokohama, I organized a symposium entitled “Human culture in the lights of ecology and evolution” and Moai, the meet-up event. I also gave a short talk about the rapid evolution of Chlorella.

Accepted the last study in Master
The last study in my Master was accepted by Proceedings of the Royal Society B.
I’m very happy to publish two journal papers and one conference paper with Prof. Shimada!
The preprint for the next study is also available at bioRxiv, which I will talk about in Sydney this summer.

Visit Lyon and Lausanne
In September 8th, I made an oral presentation in ECAL 2017 (Lyon, France). After that (September 11th), I had a seminar at Department of Fundamental Microbiology, University of Lausanne, Switzerland. I express my thanks Dr. Mitri for the arrangement.
